SMS Terms & Opt-In

BobaSync sends SMS text messages to users who provide their phone number inside the BobaSync app. This page explains what we send, how you opt in, how to opt out, and what you can expect. If anything is unclear, email support@bobasync.com.

1. Program description

BobaSync is a B2B platform that connects boba shops with their wholesale suppliers. We use SMS to deliver transactional, account-related notifications only — never marketing or promotional content. The exact categories of messages we send are:

We do not send marketing SMS, promotional offers, or third-party advertising. SMS is used exclusively for messages that relate to your own BobaSync account activity.

2. How to opt in

The BobaSync SMS opt-in is a two-step process, both inside the BobaSync application at app.bobasync.com (requires a BobaSync account):

  1. Add your mobile phone number in Settings → Company. We do not text the number until you also complete step 2.
  2. Enable the "📱 Text alerts from BobaSync" toggle in Settings → Alerts. Flipping the toggle on is the explicit opt-in action — entering a phone number alone does not opt you in.

The exact consent disclosure shown next to the toggle inside the BobaSync app reads:

📱 Text alerts from BobaSync

Get real-time SMS notifications from BobaSync for: new orders, delivery schedule changes, payment confirmations, and dispute updates. No marketing, no chitchat.

By enabling this toggle, you agree to receive transactional SMS messages from BobaSync at the phone number on your profile. Message frequency varies based on order activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Visual reference — short video of the actual opt-in control inside the BobaSync application. The clip shows a supplier flipping the SMS toggle on (consent recorded) and off (opt-out), with the consent disclosure visible on screen the whole time:

Recorded on app.bobasync.com → Settings → Alerts (logged-in supplier view). The yellow card contains the full consent disclosure quoted above.

Consent is recorded only when the toggle is in the "on" position. Toggling it off is the same as replying STOP — you stop receiving SMS immediately.

3. How to opt out

You can opt out of BobaSync SMS messages at any time, at no cost to you, by either:

After you opt out, we will not send you further SMS messages unless you opt in again by re-entering your phone number in the app.

4. How to get help

Reply HELP to any text message and we will respond with a brief description of the program and our support contact. You can also email support@bobasync.com any time.

5. Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your activity in the BobaSync app. A typical active user receives between 1 and 10 messages per week. Busy operators (e.g. a shop receiving many same-day orders) may receive more. We do not send promotional or marketing SMS.

6. Carrier disclaimer

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge fees for the messages we send or for your replies, depending on your phone plan. BobaSync is not responsible for any carrier-imposed fees.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do our best to deliver every message reliably, but message delivery depends on factors outside our control (carrier outages, the recipient's device being offline, etc.).

7. Supported carriers

BobaSync SMS works across all major US wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost Mobile, US Cellular, MetroPCS, Cricket Wireless, and Virgin Mobile. We do not currently support international SMS — BobaSync is a US-only service at this time.

8. Privacy

Your phone number is treated as Account Information under our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. The only third party that touches your phone number is Twilio, our SMS delivery provider, which transmits the message on our behalf.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time as our SMS program evolves or as regulations change. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced in the BobaSync app and via email.
